Scully Registers Independent
Still Supports Bush
Phooey to Yolo Republicans !

Last October I registered to vote
as a Republican. Today I registered
as a "Decline To State", often
known as Independent.
Last night I attended a meeting
of Davis Republicans and
that precipitated my decision.
Can you spell, "clique" ?
Can you spell, "boring" ?
Can you spell, "controlling" ?
Can you spell, "insulting" ?
Can you spell, "picayune" ?
Can you spell, "unfriendly" ?
I personally mailed my voter
registration form last October,
but I never received confirmation.
Today, I drove to the County Clerk's
office and, sure enough, I discovered
that they failed to register me
last October. So, even though
I registered as a Republican,
they failed to complete the process,
as they are bound by law to do.
This time, I did it in person
and received receipt number 57 ZB 465588.
I guess these local yokel Republicans
here in Yolo County don't like my website.
And maybe some of the bratty Republicans
swarming around Gov Arnold in Sacramento
don't like it either.
But, you know what ?
The Man In The Mirror Likes It.
He says it's pretty good,
and to keep it up, step it up.
These people who play politics
are indeed a foul breed.
It would be much better
if we could somehow evolve
to a system that runs on autopilot,
so we could all get on with
more important endeavors in our lives.
You see, Republicans and Democrats
are "identical opposites".
I am reminded of the original
"Star Trek" episode with the
"half-white" and the "half-black".
When we looked at them,
we could see no difference.
They looked identical.
Half of their face was white,
and half of their face was black.
Yet, they were deadly enemies
because, on one,
the left side was white
and the right side was black,
and, on the other,
the right side was white
and the left side was black.
And, so too, the Republicans
and the Democrats.
To us, they are identical.
Yet they wage a constant,
endless battle over issues
that are incomprehensible to us.
They are both extreme
and unrelenting in their positions.
And, often, it seems,
it is the quarrel, itself,
to which they are most dedicated,
as if the quarrel itself is the source
and strength and purpose of their lives !
And, indeed, that is the case.
Can you spell, "symbiotic" ?
SYMBIOSIS is a close coexistence
and interaction of two different
organisms, usually to the
advantage of both. Also, a
mutually advantageous association.
"to the advantage of both", in this case,
would mean to the advantage of
the Democrats and the Republicans.
But, their function is supposed
to be to the advantage of
the REST OF US, THE PEOPLE !
The life and livelihood of
every Republican around Arnold
is dedicated to beating Democrats.
And, likewise, the life and livelihood
of every Democrat is dedicated
to beating Republicans.
They suck the energy out of the people
like twin black holes
spinning in a dance of death,
sucking the life and matter
from everything around it.
So, you see, as I said before,
Republicans suck.
But, Democrats S U C K !

My decision, therefore,
is to register as an independent,
but to sit with Bush.
He's not perfect and no one is.
But he is man enough
to stay focused
on our Nation's survival.
And I respect that.
