Today, 05/13/2005, I called the IRS
to report employer tax fraud.
1 800 829-0433
I spent over an hour
on the phone,
and spoke to at least
six different people,
and still wasn't able
to report the tax fraud.
On my second call,
I started writing down the times
of my calls.
My second call was
at 10:49 am, Pacific Time,
so let's say my first call
was certainly before 10:45 am.
I disconnected at 11:53 am,
an hour and 8 minutes later.
I called 411 and got the
IRS Fraud number
1 800 829-0433
I spoke to
(name followed by employee number)
Kohler 0797376 first, then
McCloud 7643332 at 10:49, then
Augustine 7644188 at 10:57, then
Horton 3109362, then
Bennett 9107695, then
Meeks 3109359 at 11:17
until 11:39, then
I called back the Fraud number
and waited on hold until 11:53 am.
I got nothing but a runaround.
Last summer, I responded
to an employment ad
in the Sacramento Bee
for a truck driver
and was hired as a truck driver
by Sean at
Kevin's Quality Marine
401 Broadway
Sacramento, Ca
By any standard,
I was an employee,
but they are saying
I was an independent contractor.
This is fraud.
But, I spent over an hour
on the phone trying to report
this fraud to the IRS,
and got a runaround.
