Limbaugh Studies Scully Web Site

September 29, 2004 (Wednesday)

So, anyway, sometime early last week I surf through the radio channels and catch about five minutes of Limbaugh. I hearing him say something like, "The satire and parody that I do." I didn't think Rush knew what "parody" meant, and then I realized that I had been discussing my parody in a recent article. That would have been early in the week of September 20, 2004 that he said it. My article was June 15 2004, same year, a few months ago. I don't listen to him much anymore - tired of political gossip. But I think it would be interesting if someone would do research on my claim of intellectual property theft and see if this is just one more tidbit of supporting evidence. There's more. Last summer I was teaching summer school math and got interested in an English teacher's book about various people including Pascal. I got very interested in Pascal last summer and probably looked him up on the internet. I gave my students assignments to learn about famous mathematicians, and I often had that English book open to the page on Pascal. Now darn, if Limbaugh didn't mention Pascal last year, after that. I don't know in what context because, again, it was only five or less minutes that I listened, but it seems incongruous that a specialist in political gossip, who doesn't seem to have successfully passed high school science, would have any reason to know of, or talk about, Pascal. It makes me wonder if he's still tracking me and my ideas. Somebody ought to look into it.
